Just go to newspapers.com or the like. It was a regular election feature each presidential election.

I’m old enough to remember the days (1960s and 1970s) when newspapers each presidential election year published side-by-side lists of which movie stars were endorsing the Democratic nominees and which ones were endorsing the Republican nominees. Both lists were lengthy.

Oh, I'd love to see some of those lists! Hollywood still has plenty of lists, but of a different kind.

My favorite pro-gun movie is "Night of the Hunter," directed by Charles Laughton and starring Robert Mitchum. And the gun in question is wielded (SPOILER ALERT!) by an elderly lady.

Unforgettable movie — the only film ever directed by Laughton. Mitchum is brilliant as a psychopathic grifter masquerading as an itinerant preacher. Also stars Shelley Winters and Lilian Gish. Few films make a better case for private gun ownership.
