Question for you, Ted: Could the “Diversity Day” episode be made today? A year ago, no way. But what about after Jan 20, 2025? Do you think comedy will return to fearlessly breaking taboos, including against the "protected classes"?
Good question, Irwin. I'm not sure. I remain more on the pessimistic side as I think the madness is deeply embedded in our gatekeeper class. Maybe they'll bow to Trump's executive orders and to option polls or maybe they'll circle the wagons and dig in their heels. There's a lot of status to be gained by "bravely standing against attempts to dismantle DEI, etc"
