Liberal arts college is where you go to have any sense of introspection or rationality drummed out of your mind. I can say that; I have a master's degree in educational administration.
If you are one of the few with that degree who hasn't lost their mind, I pray you use it well to ensure critical thinking skills are brought back to the classroom.
Great video link! Regarding Fryer's goal - Unfortunately, no one wants true talent optimization - b/c the results will not appease all the races or the wealthy.
Yeah, he's a really interesting guy. There's another good interview with him at Econ Talk. And it's so frustrating that so few are interested in Fryer's proposal for the Ivy League to fund schools in poor neighborhoods.
It was notable that the ‘reaction’ to George Floyd incident happened in the midst of Covid lockdowns. Ironically, people who were outraged over gatherings at Sturgis or even just their neighbors backyards suddenly thought large BLM marches (riots) were noble, good, and (apparently) miraculously exempted from potentially spreading the virus. I am (and was) cynical about the extent to which participating in large BLM ‘gatherings’ became the only acceptable outlet for a stir-crazy locked down population fueled the movement and suspect that without the lockdown boredom, George Floyd incident would’ve provoked only momentary outrage (like Eric Garner!) because most people had other, more interesting ways to spend their time. Funny how history unfolds…
Very interesting hypothetical to consider, Candace. It was like a perfect storm of madness. Seems like only yesterday people were trying to explain how viruses only cause "super spreader" incidents (remember that term!) if the people involved in the events aren't woke.

Yeah, I agree with Julie. TRI, you're a free thinker with a master's in education -- exactly where thinking skills are needed most!
